Is Kareena Kapoor the new item girl?

What started as an innocuous experiment in DON where Kareena Kapoor was trying to seduce Shah Rukh Khan, singing, ‘Yeh Mera Dil Pyar Ka Deewana...’ has suddenly matured and mellowed to perfection in to be released movie of N R Pachisia’s, KYA LOVE STORY HAI, where the item song picturised on Kareena Kapoor is rising meteorically all over the country side. Then is Kareena Kapoor emerging as the new item girl?

In DON as well, she was probably the face of the heroine though Priyanka Chopra had a much larger role to play, and in KYA LOVE STORY HAI inspite of Ayesha Takia being the heroine, it is Kareena Kapoor who has emerged as the brand ambassador for the film.

The hesitancy and awkwardness that was apparent in a subtle manner in DON has been replaced with sensuality, is oozing with sexuality and thee is a lot of chutzpah in the whole performance, and choreography of Bosco has given lot of scope to Kareena to blossom on the screen in performance of multiple dimensions.

The economics of the item songs also works out in favour of the film as for films with small stars it becomes a USP and for the stars it is a good mullah for a small amount of work. Fall out at times is that the mainstream heroines are left on the side lines, but if the economics works out in favour, then this bargain is also worth striving for.

Bebo is quite exciting about Imtiaz Ali's film

After sometimes, Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor are doing a movie together. Bebo is quite exciting about the film. "We're shooting in the forts of Patiala for Imtiaz Ali's film. People had a lot to say about Shahid and my on-screen chemistry in our previous films, but the fact is that this is the first intense love story that we're doing together. It's an author-backed script; I would give my right arm for a role like this," explains Kareena.

Kareena to play opposite Shah Rukh in ‘Khan’?

Kareena Kapoor can be roped in opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Karan Johar’s next directorial venture ‘Khan’. As per latest, Karan Johar, who’s recently had a patch up with Kareena Kapoor, is very keen to cast her in the film. However Karan hasn’t made it official yet and it gave the speculations fly high on who can play the female lead opposite SRK. Meanwhile a certain section of media’s reporting tentatively that the role either can go to Rani Mukherji or to Preity Zinta, Kareena has no chance.
Karan, who’s now busy with his chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’ on Star One, couldn’t be contacted.
If the thing finally goes in favor of Kareena, ‘Khan’ will be Kareena-Shah Rukh’s second film together. Their first film was ‘Asoka’. Meanwhile Ram Gopal Varma had planned a film with Shah Rukh and Kareena, though it didn’t work out. Ram Gopal shelved the project even before the shooting started as his much-talked about difference with SRK revived.

A new controversy on Kareena Kapoor`s song!!!

Kareena Kapoor's hit track, "It's Rocking Yaara Kabhi Ishq To Karo", from the forthcoming "Kya Love Story Hai" (out on April 20), is making news for all the right and wrong reasons.

Right because it is already No.1 on the world charts and is among the most requested songs on radio these days, wrong because Ayesha Takia was rumouredly upset about the introduction of the track and the attention going to Kareena!

Now another controversy on this song has come to the foreground. Before choreographer Bosco was roped in for "It's Rocking Yaara Kabhi Ishq To Karo", it seems director Lovely Singh had approached Ganesh Hegde (who choreographed "Main Hoon Don" last year). According to Singh, the latter had to be replaced because he gave him a lot of starry airs.

Remarks Lovely, "He wanted to change the whole song and that's not even a choreographer's job! I'm happy with my decision to replace him because the final output by the new choreographer is making waves and has been very well received!"

Hegde, on his part, said, "When I first heard the song I couldn't visualise anything spectacular so I asked Lovely to make some changes to the song. Kareena is a dear friend so I wanted to give her the best. Anyway, it's really not my loss. I do select work in a year and prefer maintaining that."

Kareena caught nude on camera!!!

Kareena Kapoor's mobile phone woes are far from over. Her kissing antics are still fresh in the people's memory but as if that wasn't enough someone again grabbed a camera and shot poor Bebo, undressing in what looks like a hotel room.

Mid-Day, a leading tabloid in Mumbai claims to possess the tape but doesn't claim its authenticity. According to the paper, the place looks like a plush hotel where Bebo walks into the room and undresses.

"If this is a doctored clip, then it’s a highly professional job. If it isn’t, Kareena and other actresses need to worry about it," writes the daily, which has earlier published the intimate stills allegedly involving Ashmit Patel and Riya Sen.

Kareena's latest MMS clip also comes close on the heels of Ludhiana's infamous five star hotel episode where a newly wed couple was being shot by the hotel's staff to sell it as a porn film.

We wonder how Shahid is going to react, when he hears about it!

"Kareena is better than Britney Spears" - Tusshar Kapoor

Much has been said and written about Kareena Kapoor's track It's Rocking Yaara Kabhi Ishq To Karo from the forthcoming film Kya Love Story Hai. The track is being edited at present so that it goes on air next week.

Tusshar Kapoor saw the track upon landing from Bangkok on Thursday and was absolutely floored. It may be recalled that Kareena was Tusshar's first co-star in Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai several years back. "It's among the best visuals I've seen of late. Bebo's outdone herself yet again and looks remarkable."

Tusshar is extremely excited about the overwhelming response to the film's soundtrack, and specifically, Kareena's video. "I'm not sure whether I should say this but it's even better than some of the funky Britney Spears videos I've seen in recent times."

Why Kareena Kapoor is arrogant????

Kareena Kapoor only admits that she can be arrogant but also justifies her arrogance.

Since her debut in 2000, Kareena has done plenty of films, but doesn’t really have a solo hit film to her credit.

Kareena admits that she can be arrogant but says she has enough talent to justify it.

``If people say I'm arrogant, so be it,'' Kareena told a prominent newspaper in an interview published on Friday.

``Yes, I'm arrogant, but only with what God has gifted me with – my talent and demeanor, which are raw materials for filmmakers to mould as they please.''

However, according to sources Kareena gives a lot of attitude to even top filmmakers and hence gradually producers and directors are shying away from casting her in their films.

Kareena has no films lined up for release in 2007.

But Kareena is adamant that this is just a temporary lull in her career, she says, “I am Kareena Kapoor and I know that even if I sit home for a year, I will get work.”

When confronted with all her failed projects, Kareena said “How can you talk about me as if I am some has been. I am Kareena Kapoor”.

Abhishek threw Kareena out of Karan’s new film!

Kareena lost out on Tarun Mansukhani’s new untitled project produced by none other than Karan Johar, because Abhishek Bachchan refused to work to work with her.

Abhishek, still brooding about his break-up with Karishma, turned down friend Karan Johar’s offer, when he realized that Kareena is cast opposite him. Karan had no choice, but to oust Kareena from the project, as Abishek is the most sought-after actor of today.

Abhishek obviously has not forgiven Kareena’s remarks on him and his family, which she made just after the Abhishek-Karishma break-up. To make matters worse, he forced Karan to sign Aishwarya Rai, his fiancĂ©e. Result—Kareena out, Aishwarya in, and lose is entirely Kareena’s..

Kareena left due to Hrithik!

Hrithik Roshan had been having second thoughts about doing Zoya Akhtar’s directorial debut Kismat Talkies. It’s now official: Roshan Jr has opted out of Zoya’s film.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, co-star Kareena Kapoor too has given the project a miss.

Producer Ritesh Sidhwani (who runs Excel Entertainment along with partner and Zoya’s brother Farhan Akhtar) had earlier told us that they would start filming in May 2007 as Kareena had given dates from then on, but then Hrithik started demanding changes in the script making Zoya go hunting for a new hero. It is learnt that she spoke to Akshay Kumar, but he too gave her the cold shoulder.

Apparently Kareena had allotted the same dates to Socha Na Tha director Imtiaz Ali’s next film. A source says, “Once Hrithik opted out, Kareena decided not to do the film either.

When contacted, Imtiaz excused himself from telling us when he is starting his film with Kareena. “I am sitting with some people. Let’s talk later,” he said.

The source adds, “Things haven’t been easy for Zoya from the time she planned the film. She was supposed to make her debut with a film titled Luck — By Chance in 2004. Unfortunately, the film never took off.

But her tone clearly suggested that she was in no mood to defend the actors who have given her so much anxiety. them.

Kareena remained unavailable for comments.

Onir's next is a remake of Sai Paranjpye's frothy working-class comedy Chashme Buddoor, made in 1981.

Onir, who has so far made two extremely heavy-hearted social dramas My Brother Nikhil and Bas Ek Pal, is all set to let his hair down. And to help him in this endeavour he wants Kareena Kapoor to play the role of the soap-selling salesperson Deepti Naval immortalised in Chashme Buddoor.

"I've already sounded off Kareena for another film. I feel she has a terrific sense of comedy. I'd like to tap that. My take on Chashme Buddoor would follow the original in principle. But the times have changed. My script would incorporate those changes," adds Onir.

But why Chashme Buddoor? Onir says, "I wanted to make something blithe, something light, something that I hadn't done before."
The constant barrage of angst that Onir had to take on in his first two films had begun to take its toll on the young filmmaker's psyche. "It wasn't easy making those two films. And yes, I needed to lighten the load. It's then that I thought of my former boss Sai Paranjpye. I had assisted her when she made the environmental film Papeeha. And when Studio 18 (the filmmaking concern who lately put out films like Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd and 1971) approached me with the idea of doing Chashme Buddoor, Sai Paranjpye was on my mind. Given my heavy state of mind everything fell into place," he says.
